Meet the Owner:
For over a decade, I have been a Hairstylist and Color Specialist at Natural Concepts Salon & Spa in Greenwood, IN. After our building was listed for sale, my husband and I decided this was the perfect opportunity for me to branch out on my own. Not only to have a studio salon of my own, but to start working closer to home. What could be closer than your own studio salon within your home?! Working 30-45 minutes from home has always made it challenging in the event that one of my school aged children needed to be picked up from school for sickness, practice, etc. After much thinking and weighing the pros and cons we decided to move forward with the construction of my own space. My husband, Chris, who works full time and has a lawn care business, recently started the 1st stage of the build out/conversion of our 3rd car portion of our garage. While it will still look like a garage from the outside (you know how HOA neighborhoods hate change) it will look like anything but a garage on the inside! With a private entrance from the back, which will be accessible via a gate on the north corner of our lot; and an Industrial/Rustic theme inside, I am excited for the Grand Opening of my studio, which will be in the near future!
Update 9/12/17: Plumbing is in, electrical ran, walls are up and flooring is in. Currently waiting on materials for my ceiling to arrive. Construction was stalled during the Spring, but it is in full swing now since the building Nat Con is located in sold in April. Things have been sketchy since the sale and I do worry that they may not be open much longer. I hope to have Studio L up and running by the end of the year! Update 12/16/17: Construction on Studio L is complete! Finish decorating touches are being made daily. Color is in (I'll be specializing in Pravana color), salon license has been applied for and temporary license has been issued! I'm super excited to continue providing services to my many clients I have come to love over the last 10 years in Greenwood and I look forward to meeting new west side clients as well!
